An artist dedicated to classical technique.

Born and raised in Rye, New York, Mark Cassata has been an artist his entire life. His training began at an early age with his father, who was a European-trained portrait artist. Earning his B.F.A. and M.A.T. from Manhattanville College, Mark was a professor of fine art and guest lecturer for 40 years.

Mark's subject matter often includes the historical beauty of New England and the rugged landscape of Montana. Skill in classical drawing and composition shows in his seascapes, landscapes and architectural themes. Combining his training in art and architecture, he is best known for his attention to fine detail.

Commissioned work includes historical Rye Presbyterian Church, scenes of Long Island Sound and private collections.
